HD DVD Pulls Plug Blu-ray Won


Well about a two days ago, a source leaked some information to Japans NDK saying that Toshiba will pull the plug on HD DVD, a day later they announced it to the press. So, what does this mean for you, well if you own an HD DVD player then you can either sell it now and make a loss or use it as a DVD upscaler. HD DVD had suffered a string of defections, with Warner, Netflix, Best Buy, and Wal-Mart all recently pledging their alliance to Blu-ray. They claim that the DVDs will remain on the market for a while, but Toshiba won't be putting out anymore. Toshiba are expected to lose hundreds of millions of U.S Dollars and will close factories in Northern Japan
